I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.
John 16:33
Before I write today’s lesson, I want to share my night. In my post yesterday, I wrote that obstacles would indeed present themselves as I travel to Utah. Sleep has been an issue for me since embarking on this nomad lifestyle. The beds and the sleeping bag I currently use are not the extra firm mattress I historically use.
So, last night I again could not get to sleep. There was another reason, too. Not far from the campsite is the Memphis International Airport. It is a famous airport because it is second in the world for freight and shipping. If you haven’t guessed by now, I’ll tell you. It is home to FedEx. And, when does FedEx work? At night! I was on the final approach for all their planes last night. One airplane after another came into land just a few hundred feet above until 4 or 5 in the morning.
Obstacles come very quickly in life. How we deal with them charts our path. I found my earplugs for tonight and I prayed for a restful night.
