Today, I’m starting a new chapter in my life. It is the first day I’m officially unemployed. But, I don’t feel unemployed! In fact, now I have a chance to start a new career. One more God-centered and one that gives me a chance to write God’s story about me. No story is very exciting if the main character doesn’t experience some unwelcome or surprising challenges or troubles.
I am going to be brave and tell my story as honestly and truthfully as possible. And, I will be open about my struggles (porn, alcohol, relationships, and divorce). And, most of all, I will tell how God has brought me through and how I’ve overcome these habits and struggles.
People often ask me why I’m so happy these days. I tell them I’m free! God’s grace has captured me and now while on this new adventure, I’ll share how God can help others as well. Hey – I won’t be perfect but I’ll be authentic.
